NPP Congratulates Chakat Aboh on Winning Khonsa West By-poll

Itanagar: The State unit of National People’s Party (NPP) on Friday congratulates Chakat Aboh on being elected as MLA from Khonsa West Assembly Constituency in the October 21 by-election, the result of which was declared on Thursday.

Aboh was the consensus candidate of all political parties of the State including the ruling BJP.

While congratulating Chakat Aboh on her victory, NPP State unit president Gicho Kabak appreciated the humble initiative taken by Chief Minister Pema Khandu who convened an all political party meeting to put up her as consensus Independent candidate which was unanimously supported by all political parties including BJP, NPP, Congress, PPA, and JDU.

The party hoped that Aboh would fulfill the dream of her husband Tirong Aboh who was elected as NPP MLA in April 2019 Assembly election but was assassinated by an underground outfit just a day before the election result was declared.

The party also thanked the people of the constituency for electing Aboh on sympathetic and humanitarian grounds.
