Nyishi Elite Society demands NIA to investigate on Kimin issue

ITANAGAR: The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) has demanded the Indian Ministry of Defense and the Border Roads Organization (BRO), Kimin to disclose the 'strategic reasons' behind mentioning Kimin as part of Assam and covering the name of the State on signboards.

NES has also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to engage National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe whether it was the act of conspiracy from the Assam government or was it due to international policy or negligence by the Arunachal Pradesh government, to which NES will also be submitting a memorandum to the PMO.

"The then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi came to Ziro in the year 1972 and renamed the State as 'Arunachal Pradesh' to be a union territory. When she had no fear of China, then what made Defense Minister Rajnath Singh panic," stated an NES member while speaking to the media persons on Wednesday.
