BORDUMSA: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kharsang-based 'Geo Enpro Petroleum Limited' has finally consented to re-engage the 19 workers of the company following constant persuasion, prayers and petitions from various quarters.

"Based on the contract terms and clauses, the company no more required the services of these workers since June 10 in view of the adverse financial constraints of the company," said Ray during his telephonic conversation with The Sentinel on Tuesday afternoon.

"No doubt, the company has considered taking back these workers even when their services are no longer required due to narrowing down of the company's profit scope, yet it might be conditional and subject to slight modifications in terms of the workers' benefits and emoluments," said the company CEO.

"Irrespective of company's extra financial burden I, however, take the privilege to announce the reinstatement of the 19 affected workers with effect from July 15," declared Ray. Local MLA Kamlung Mossang who has been constantly in touch with me would now announce the decision of the company in favour of the local people.

"I'm confident that the workers whose services are now being restored would discharge their responsibilities with utmost devotion and sincerity for the growth of the industry which is the sole criteria for the overall development of the place and people," the company CEO urged.

Meanwhile confirming the positive development, Kamlung Mossang — one of the senior most Cabinet Ministers of the Pema Khandu-led BJP Government of Arunachal Pradesh — expressed his goodwill towards the company and wished the industry to prosper in long run. Sharing the decisions of the company's CEO with The Sentinel, the Minister said, "I hope the workers whose services have been restored would discharge their responsibilities and do their duties with dedication and sincerity for the overall growth and prosperity of the industry and themselves."

The MLA of near-by Bordumsa, Somlung Mossang have also expressed happiness that the imbroglio has been resolved.
