Outreach programme on Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) held at Tenga village in Arunachal

TENGA: The Field Outreach Bureau, Bomdila Unit, (Ministry of I & B), Government of India organized a Special Outreach Programme on Swachhta Action Plan at Tenga village, Singchung block on Friday here. The programme was held in close coordination with former Panchayat members of Tenga village and PHED Tenga.

Present on the day as resource person JE, PHED Tenga SN Maurya, said that in Tenga village Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) were completed and village declared as an Open Defecation Free (ODF) village.

He also informed that under Solid Liquid waste management (SLWM) Programme 3 numbers of SLWM were constructed in the Singchung block.

Former ZPM Singchung S. N Sarai said that the former Panchayat members of Tenga has been conducting and conducted awareness programme on Swachhta Abhiyan at various locations in Singchung block.

He requested the villagers present in the meeting to maintain community toilets and SLWM of Tenga village.

Meanwhile Circle Officer, Singchung Gamjar Doke, said that the administration of Singchung block has been divided into multiple sectors to carryout and monitor the cleanliness drive. “There will be social service in first and last Saturday of every month in Singchung area,” he said.
