Participate in ‘Festival of Democracy’: Senior Congress leader Takam Pario

Itanagar: Describing elections as festival of democracy, senior Congress leader Takam Pario said those who have enrolled themselves as a general elector should participate in this festival “for peace, prosperity and progress of the State and the nation as a whole for next five years”. Interacting with the media, Pario, who is seeking re-election to the State Assembly from the Palin seat in Kra Daadi district, on a Congress ticket, said every political party has a vision, plan and policy to carry forward their agenda, and we do have a vision for progress, peace and development of state in all fronts.

He added that the festival of democracy should be enjoyed and participated by one and all in a free and fair way.

“If it is held in free and fair manner, we may carry forward party’s all agenda for peace, progress and development in an effective way,” he said.

The grand old party has fielded its 46 candidates for the 60-member Assembly and two nominees in both the Parliamentary constituencies.
