A 17 years old teenage boy was kidnapped by the PLA from the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday 18 January as informed by state MP Tapir Gao.

ITANAGAR: On Wednesday 19 January, Arunachal Pradesh MP Tapir Gao took to Twitter to say that a 17-year-old from Arunachal Pradesh has been abducted by PLA (People's Liberation Army) of China.

According to the MP, the teenager has been identified as Miran Taron from the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The MP informed that Miran was abducted on Tuesday 18 January from the area of Lungta Jor that comes under the Siyungla location.

In the tweet by Tapir Gao, he wrote that on 18 January the Chinese People's Liberation Army has abducted 17 years old Miran Taron of Zido village from the Indian territory of Lungta Jor location (China-built 3 to 4 kilometers road inside India in the year 2018) under Siyungla i.e. Bishing village located in Upper Siang district of the state Arunachal Pradesh.

The state MP wrote another tweet posting pictures of the abducted boy and requested all the government agencies to take action for the early release of the boy from the Chinese PLA.

According to reports, the state authorities got the information of Miran's abduction as one of his friends named Johny Yaiying somehow managed to escape from the clutches of PLA and reported to officials regarding the kidnapping of his friend Miran.

Both Miran Taron and his friend Johny Yaiying are local hunters and are a resident of Zido village in Arunachal Pradesh.

The state MP also informed that the kidnapping incident occurred very close to the area where Tsangpo River (upper stream of the Brahmaputra River in China) enters India through Arunachal Pradesh.

Tapir Gao said that he talked about the matter with the Union Minister for Home Nisith Pamanik and urged to take quick and required action in the abduction case of the teenage boy.

In order of tracing the lost boy with the aid of the Indian government, the state MP in his tweet tagged Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
