Plantation drive at Lish village

BOMDILA, July 19: On the auspicious occasion of Drukpa Tse Jhee, an important date as per the Buddhist calendar, a mass plantation and its adoption was organised along with an awareness camp at Jingkha in Lish village around the School campus of Jingkha village on Wednesday last. The programme called Metta Forest was organised by Sherab Sangpo Sangha, Dirang in collaboration with WWF-India wherein, the villagers from Lish, Gonpache, Nyukmadung, Dirang villages, Dirang headquarters had participated in the programme. The saplings were provided by the forest department and were planted by the participants on a plot of land at Jingkha donated by Tsering of Lish village.
