Plantation drive held at underpass area (traffic island) Bank Tinali in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: Save Arunachal Save Indigenous ( SASI) ,Youth Mission for Clean River in collaboration with District Administration Capital Itanagar and Department of Forest conducted plantation drive at underpass area ( traffic island) Bank Tinali Itanagar on the evening of Wednesday.

Participating in the plantation drive, DC (Deputy Commissioner)-ICR Talo Potom informed that, in view of the beautification of the town and healthy environment team of SASI & YMCR Aruanchal Pradesh has imitated to plant sapling of flowers, and decorative plants only in the divider (Traffic Island) near the junction at Bank Tinali.

The DC also requested the forest department to take an initiative for the protection and caring of the newly planted sapling

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson SASI Debia Muj informed that more than 200 sapling were plant in the dividers. Most of the saplings are only decorative plants and flowers which will not hamper the divider in future. Chairperson YMCR-AP SD Loda,urged all the denizens of the capital region to extend their helping hands in keeping the twin capital clean and green. We should plant trees, whenever we get chances and location to keep our environment healthy, he added.
