Plasma-donation drive yields positive results in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: The 'Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences' (TRIHMS) — the lone medical college and hospital in Arunachal Pradesh — has created a record with 44 cured COVID-19 patients donating their plasma during the week-long donation camp.

The camp, an initiative of the Arunachal Pradesh unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA) with support of Arunachal Cancer Welfare Society, was launched by State Health Secretary Dr P Parthiban on November 23 last. "The camp had received overwhelming response," said IMA general secretary Dr Jego Ori.

State Health and Family Welfare Minister AloLibang has extended gratitude to all the donors saying their humanitarian service would help doctors to save many lives.

He also lauded the TRIHMS team led by Dr Moji Jini, IMA State branch president DrLobangTsetim and DrOri for their praiseworthy endeavours.
