Poll training in Lower Subansiri district in Arunachal

Itanagar: The election training programme for officers and officials of Lower Subansiri district was inaugurated by DC Chukhu Takar on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Takar said the success of the election depends on the ability of the presiding officers to conduct the polling process in their polling stations successfully, an official communiqué informed. He said the officers will have to familiarize themselves with the entire electoral process and the newly introduced EVM/VVPAT machines.

Informing that ladies would also be appointed as presiding officers this time, Takar exhorted them to take the training seriously as it would go a long way in the successful conduct of the elections.

Nodal Officer (Training) PK Das informed that all the department officers and officials have been divided into 8 batches. The four-day training would also consist of mock polls, besides hands on training on EVM and VVPAT.
