Power boost to Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to the State, will be laying the foundation stones of the 7 EHV sub-stations and 24 LT sub-stations on Saturday.

These projects are funded by the Central Government and shall help the State in meeting its power demand. The completion of the project will fuel the industrialization in the region giving a boost economic development in Arunachal Pradesh. The project is part of the Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening of Transmission & Distribution system in Arunachal Pradesh and is being implemented by POWERGRID.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), the central transmission utility (CTU)’ of the country, is engaged in power transmission business with the responsibility for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over inter-State transmission system and operation of national and regional power grids.
