Prayer meeting held at the Christian Prayer Center, Empak

ITANAGAR: The Christian Prayer Center, Empak near Bogibeel Bridge, Assam held a meeting under the chairmanship of the Development Committee president Dhaniram Pegu at the center premises on Sunday. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution to observe Pentecost Day at the center campus itself from June 7 to 9.

Eminent biblical preacher Dr Philip Riram and Naga missionary Reverend Ayang Sor will be the main speakers of the function. The meeting selected Shillong-based columnist Yumri Taipodia and leader of Takam Mishing Porin Kebang Suboh Doley as the coordinators of the programme.

Senior orthopaedic Dr Karken Rina will be the Organizer of the function and hundreds of believers are expected to take part in this mega spiritual festival.

The members present also said that the day must be observed with religious fervour.

This is a biblical feast and it must be observed in a befitting manner. “Those who acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ can join this festival,” invited Yumri Taipodia, the coordinator of the function. Dr Philip Riram, the key speaker of the proposed gathering “requested all the Christian community to pray for the success of the programme.”
