Pre-recruitment training by Army in Arunachal

Itanagar: Youth of Sadiya sub-division have shown great pride and enthusiasm towards joining the Indian Army and to serve the nation. Local leaders and family elders have been seeking the Army assistance in training young aspirants in this regard. The Chowkham Battalion of security forces under the Dao Division has been at the forefront of motivating and helping the youth in realising their dreams.

In the last one year, 41 local boys of the area who were trained by the battalion have passed recruitment tests and would be joining the forces soon. In addition, 38 boys have passed physical and medical tests and are waiting to appear for written exam, Kohima-based Defence spokesman Col Chiranjeet Konwer informed in a communiqué on Tuesday.

Continuing the same zeal, the Chowkham Battalion with the administrative support from Sadiya sub-division has organised a pre-recruitment training which commenced on Monday. The aim of the event was to train the aspirants, in view of the recruitment rally scheduled from March 02-09 this year.

The training has been planned exhaustively which included, circulating model question papers, conducting mock written tests, physical training etc. A total of 161 local youth so far have registered for training. The Commanding Officer of Chowkham Battalion, Superintendent of Police, SDO and other civil dignitaries of the area, interacted with the youth and motivated them to join the Army, the communiqué added.
