Programme on use of VVPAT/EVM at Tezu

TEZU: A hands-on training-cum-awareness programme on the use of VVPATs/EVMs was held exclusively for all the police personnel posted at the District in the Recreational Hall of Reserve Police Tezu, on Tuesday.

Addressing the police personnel, SP Lohit, DW Thongon exhorted them to equip themselves with the use of VVPAT/EVM functioning. He further asked them to share the information with others as well. “Since the machines are newly introduced in the State, the people must be enlightened about them,” he added. Also speaking on the occasion, the Nodal Officer for EVM/VVPAT of the district Pime Keche rendered the hands-on training and demonstration on the use of EVM/VVPAT to the police personnel.

She also clarified various queries regarding the use of the machine by the participants during the interactive session. She further stated that the training was conducted as per the directive received from the Election Commission of India, for mandatory training of all the police personnel posted in the respective districts.

Meanwhile, Horticulture Development Officer Tezu, S Rehman presented a short video on the use of EVMs/VVPATs to the participants.
