‘Project Sustainability will be a Criterion’: Taba Tedir

ZIRO: The Annual Action Plans (AAP) of departments of Ziro was screened for further submission to the government during the District Planning Board (DPB) meeting held at DC Conference Hall, Hapoli today.

Addressing a meeting, Taba Tedir called for prioritizing projects and schemes that cater to a larger section of the society. “Individual projects will not be entertained. Viability and sustainability of a project will be the other criteria for the selection of a proposal “he said.

Tedir said that the school performing better with good enrolment shall be given priority during fund allocation,” he added while reviewing the AAP of the Education Department. He also directed the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) not to entertain any proposal against zero enrolment under any circumstances.

Meanwhile, Taki assured that the project proposals shall be selected on need base from the DPB authorized list.

He said that the earlier instances of parachuting private and individual projects with almost nil ground implementation shall be henceforth curbed with the formation of DPB. The DPB will also ensure proper monitoring, since the District Administration (DA) will have a clear picture of projects sanctioned,” he added. Taki further advised the HoDs to be proactive and work on their creative sides to improve their departments in the district.
