Promote Papum Poma area: Minister for Forest Nabam Rebia

ITANAGAR: Minister for Forest and local representative of Papumpare constituency Nabam Rebia appealed the people of Papum Poma and State tourism department to promote the Papum Poma area and make it best tourist destination, while visiting the ongoing preparation site of the upcoming Papum Poma River Festival- 2018 here at Kanebung Village under Sangdupota circle on Wednesday. During the visit, Minister Rebia appealed the local people and all the heads of the department (HoDs) to help the festival for grand successes for the area locates in close proximity with state capital and bears tourism potential. He also requested Papum Poma River festival committee members, local people and officers to promote the area. Notably, Union Minister for Home Kiren Rijiju will inaugurate the four-day Papum Poma River festival, 2018 that is beginning from November 28.

The four-day festival will be hosted in the confluence of Papum Poma at Kanebung village under Sangdupota Circle in Papum Pare District. The venue is just 33 km from the Itanagar.
