Public Health Engineering and Water Supply Minister Wankgi Lowang Reviews Projects

Itanagar: Public Health Engineering and Water Supply Minister Wankgi Lowang conducted a departmental review meeting to take stock of various programs, schemes and other official matters taken up by the department, at the State Civil Secretariat here on Wednesday. Chief Engineer (Eastern Zone) Tomo Basar highlighted various tasks taken up by the department in the water sector and upcoming schemes, an official communique informed here today. Chief Engineer-cum-Mission Director, SBM (G) Sentum Yomcha informed about the status of work under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) in rural Arunachal. He also highlighted the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) of the SBM (G) designed for the financial year 2019-20, especially concerning ODF-Plus activities, which focuses on sustainability measures for maintaining ODF status and solid liquid waste management.

PHE & WS Commissioner Maryna Ete also provided feedback on the State’s present scenario.

Accessing the affairs, the minister urged department officials to focus and work hard.

The meeting was also attended by SE-cum-State Coordinator, SBM (G), Joi Angu, EEs, AEs and state consultants, the communique added.
