Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) to host XIX Uni Fest-2018

RONO HILLS: Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) is all set to host the XIX Uni-fest from November 7 to 10.

The patron of the festival, Prof. Saket Kushwaha who is also the Vice-Chancellor of university told that a large number of students will participate in the festival to showcase their talents in various fields.

He also informed Arunachal that Chief Minister Pema Khandu along with State BJP Vice-President Kipa Babu will be gracing the inaugural occasion as chief guest and guest of honor respectively on the day.

“The aim of the festival is to promote discipline, sportsmanship and competitive spirit among the students for their all round development,” he said.

The festival will display rich culture and tradition of the State where a mega dance will be performed by around 120 students. It has been informed that, the entire students have been divided into four houses namely, Sela house, Mayodia house, Patkai house and Kangte house, he said.

“The houses have been named after the natural heritage sites of the State. Various events like games & sports, track and field, literary, fine arts, cultural events and Mr and Miss University titles will be few of attraction of the festival,” he added.

Meanwhile the valedictory function of the festival will be held on November 10, 2018.
