ITANAGAR: Reach to Teach Foundation conducted a month-long training for teachers of Class X and XII in government schools in Arunachal Pradesh. The training aimed to familiarize teachers with the examinations and went beyond the tool kit designed by Reach to Teach to support the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in improving children's performance in X and XII board examinations. The training was part of a three-year programme aimed at strengthening teaching and learning outcomes in the state. The training was held across all 26 districts in September and October this year, as an official communiqué informed here on Thursday.

The SCERT has also created a district task force to monitor board exam initiatives. Reach to Teach Foundation also organised two-day training for district task force officials on November 7 and 8 to familiarise them with essential reporting tools. A dedicated teacher helpline has been established to address queries and receive feedback on the material, strengthening FAQs. Ratna Viswanathan, Chair of the Board of Reach to Teach Foundation, said, “Our aim is to strengthen learning outcomes with a focus on bringing up the performance of children in the Xth and XIIth board exams."
