Rebia visits flood-hit Hollongi Patila village

Itanagar, July 4: Arunachal Pradesh Environment & Forests Minister Nabam Rebiaon Tuesday visited Hollongi Patila village, which was reportedly inundated due to heavy downpour. He was accompanied by Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Dr Joram Beda, ADC in-charge cum EAC Nabam Tajik, all concerned heads of departments and Dy Commandant of 12th Bn of NDRF, Pranab Daimary, an official release said here today. The Minister inspected the affected areas and interacted with the locals and assured every possible solution to their problem. He directed the WRD executive engineer to work out the plan to protect the area from further inundation. On receiving reports of skin rashes from locals and to prevent outbreak of diseases, the DC directed the strict medical officer (DMO) to arrange to deploy a team of specialist medical officers at the spot to monitor the situation and give health care facilities to the affected people, the release added.
