Review meeting on repair work of Trans Arunachal Highway Road

DAPORIJO: Daporijo Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf on Wednesday called a meeting to review the repair and maintenance work of TAH road from Sigin-Bridge to Dumporijo and Dumporijo to Tai in his office chamber. During the meeting, the contractors of the repair and maintenance work of TAH highlighted various hardship faced by them while executing the maintenance works like local interference during the clearing of chocked culverts, earth cutting by individuals causing drain blockage and water leakage at several places of PHED pipelines.

Hence, for smooth execution of the work the contractors requested the district administration to take necessary action in this regard.

Responding to the grievances laid down by the contractors, DC asked SDO J. Padung to issue an executive order prohibiting anyone from interfering in RoW of TAH and take necessary legal action against those violating the order.

“If needed CRPF and Police personnel are to be deployed by SP, Daporijo as and when required during maintenance works,” DC ordered.

He also asked the contractors to increase the manpower & machinery for early completion of the maintenance work during the non-monsoon season and to submit weekly report about the work progress to the monitoring team headed by ADC Daporijo and ADC Dumporijo.

Meanwhile, DC also urged all the stakeholders to coordinate and expedite the TAH repairing & maintenance work.
