NAHARLAGUN: Former Pradesh Council Member and the first Protem Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA), Rinchin Kharu Rijiju had inaugurated the Carnival Chakang Cinemas (C3) theatre at Naharlagun earlier this week. Addressing the gathering the Minister stated that theatre is a recreation centre for people of all ages and different movies have different meanings and benefits to people.
Rijiju also congratulated the C3 management team and Mayor Tame Phassang for establishing such a modern theater in the capital region.
Mayor Tame Phassang, who is also the Managing Director of the C3, informed the gathering that this theatre has one of the biggest screens in the state with a 2k projection system. "With adequate parking space it can accommodate more than 240 people", he added.
This newly inaugurated theatre shall give priority to the screening of local films. Phassang informed that the authority of Carnival Cinemas based in Mumbai has framed some guidelines and these need to be adhered to by the local producers. "Moreover, my efforts will be to screen local films and encourage the local artiste fraternity", he stated. State BJP President, Biyuram Waghe, MLAs like Tapuk Taku, Kardo Nyigyor and Tarin Dakpe were some among the dignitaries who had attended the inaugural event.
