River Siang under close watch : MLA Er Tatung Jamoh

PASIGHAT: “The state government is very much concerned and taking all care with regards to the flood and drought like situation of the people living on the bank of river Siang, Pasighat,” MLA Er Tatung Jamoh said while talking to media on the side-line of the inauguration of a Hyundai Showroom here at 2 Mile on Tuesday.

Jamoh said that earlier there was problem in getting information of the activities across the border but after meeting of Prime Minister Narndra Modi with Chinese counterpart the Chinese government is sharing several information with government of India and to the government of Arunachal Pradesh in the activities across the border relating to weather, activities in the river which is good sign. “We had discussion with the Mebo MLA Lombo Tayeng and district administration and submitted report to the state government for a decision and providing of compensation to the several victim affected by the drought and flood recently,” Jamoh added. Jamoh said that, we have information with regard to the drought like situation on one side of the Siang River and flood like situation on other side. “The relief are being provided while rehabilitation process for two three villages of Mebo side have been initiated by the administration with the government,” Jamoh said.
