Road Safety Week in East Siang, Arunachal

Itanagar: The Road Safety Week concluded on a positive note in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh during which the district police headed by SP Prashant Gautam organized an public awareness programme to make people more aware of the traffic rules and to persuade them to follow rules while on road aiming to reduce casualties due to road accidents.

People were encouraged about how to drive on roads by organizing variety of programmes related to road safety. Meanwhile, a drawing competition was conducted on Sunday at the Reserve-Police-Line as part of Road Safety Week. The topic of the competition was “Sadak Sukasha Jeevan Raksha”.

The SP while appreciating traffic in-charge Ange Miyu (SI) for successfully conduct of the week-long celebration, informed that during the whole week, variety of educational banners, safety posters, leaflets related to the road safety were distributed to on road travellers.
