Rumgong Intellectual Forum (RIF) Challenged to Prove Allegations

ITANAGAR: Taging Taga terming all the allegations framed by the 32nd Rumgong Intellectual Forum (RIF) of Siang district as baseless asked the Forum to provide evidence to their allegations within 10 days or face the defamation suit.
The Forum (RIF) should provide the evidence related to the allegations against me for obtaining various government work without Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) and also against my father Tamiyo Taga.
“If the Forum fails to do so within 10 days I will file defamation suits against each of the Forum member,” Taging added while addressing the reporters at the Press Club on Monday.
Clarifying the allegation on the construction of the Indoor stadium at Patum in his private land, Taging said that there was no volunteer from the area to donate land thus it was constructed within his private land.
He also informed that the land and the structure are of public now and recently the Khelo India programme was organized at the same place. “It is a false statement by the Forum that I have been using the place for storage purpose,” he added.
He said being an A-Class contractor in the constituency all the works done by him was by fair means and by the guidelines of the Ministry of Finance & Planning Government of India and the state.
“Though I have executed many projects it is not exactly correct to mention that I have been awarded 26 projects out of 46 in various department of the constituency since year 2009,” Taging said.
Meanwhile, BJP Mandal President of the 32 Rumgong constituency Tagum Tali alleged that it is all politically motivated to tarnish the image of the local representative Tamiyo Taga and his family prior to the 2019 Assembly elections.
Tali also alleged that most of the members of the Forum are residing at the capital and never been to the constituency.
He also clarified that the road construction project from NIT of Rumgong to Yongong estimated at Rs 25 crore is not yet been undertaken, adding: “It is again a false allegation by the Forum.”
“All the ongoing works in the constituency are executed by different firms and owners and there is no point of Taging Taga holding power of attorney to the firms,” he said, adding that the Forum should tender a public apology.
Tali said Minister Tamiyo Taga has a clean image.
