'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' meet draws public response at Tawang

TAWANG: A team of officers and officials of various departments headed by the Deputy Commissioner Tawang, Sang Phuntsok reached Zemithang for the third of 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' programme on Monday. The camp with the motto 'One Stop Solution to Multiple Problems' was set up at Sports Club, Zemithang involving all departments of the district to provide government services to the people at their doorsteps. A huge gathering thronged the venue. In addition to the services provided, awareness on various schemes were created and grievances submitted by citizens were also attended to.
Further, in view of the problems faced by the farmers of Tawang district due to crop raiding by wildlife, a presentation on technologies that can be adopted to address the same was also given by Kamal Medhi, Landscape Coordinator, WWF India at the venue.
A kilometer-long solar electric fence has already been installed in Lumpo village under Zemithang circle as a human wildlife conflict mitigation measure by the WWF-India in consultation with the village leaders, panchayat and management committee of Community Conserved area.
