According to reports, satellite Images confirms of a new village with around 101 homes on the banks of the River Tsari Chu, lies in the Upper Subansiri district.

Notably, the area which has been long disputed by India and China and has been marked by armed conflict and is located 1 km north of the existing Chinese military outpost.

In December 2020, China constructed at least three villages about five kilometres from the Bum La pass close to the tri-junction between India, China and Bhutan in Arunachal Pradesh.

The new satellite imagery also showed these three new Chinese villages near the Arunachal Pradesh border comes just a week after high-resolution satellite images appeared of a Chinese village construction reportedly inside Bhutanese territory.

Reportedly, these villages being constructed in Shannan's border county is said to have access to water, electricity and internet.

The boundary has been disputed by China and the setting up of new villages in the area is being seen as a Chinese step towards restarting its territorial claims along the border with Arunachal Pradesh.

Ministry of External Affairs did not directly answer the question of whether the construction of the village with Beijing has been raised diplomatically. It told NB, "The government constantly monitors all developments affecting India's security and takes all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity."

An authentic online map of Surveyor General of India, used by the government as it officially shows that the Chinese village is well located in the Indian territory.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs said, "The government constantly monitors all developments affecting India's security and takes all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity."
