Scouts, guides camp held in Arunachal

ROING: The 7 scouts and guides units of Lower Dibang Valley district organized a day-long camp at the Scout & Guide Camping Park at Roing. DDSE, Ego Doye, inspected the camp site and witnessed the activities of the scouts and guides.

Addressing the gathering, Doye highlighted the importance of the scout/guide movement and the role it plays in the development of youth across the country.

DTO (Scout) Somit Mena presented a brief report of the hiking programme and informed that the programme had been organized to introduce the scouts and guides to the new training centre of the district and to bring about interaction among the scouts/guides of the schools in the district unit.

During the camp, a cooking competition was also organized. In the competition, Government Upper Primary School, Cheta bagged the first prize, while Government Secondary School, Mayu and Government Upper Primary School, New Colony. bagged the second and third positions respectively.
