Itanagar: As part of its nationwide demonstration, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) organizes the "Raj Bhawan Gherao' march to protest against inflation and unemployment.

Hundreds of Congress workers including former Chief Minister & incumbent President-APCC- Nabam Tuki also participated in the protest march but the security forces halted the protest march from going further to gherao the Raj Bhawan.

Speaking to the media, APCC President stated, "To protest against the inflation, unparallel GST in essential commodities and Agnipath schemes, today Congress party is organizing the nationwide protest. Inflation in essential commodities like LPG, Petrol and GST has hit hard to the common public. "Earlier, the price of domestic LPG was Rs 400 only but now it has inflated up to Rs 1100", which is unbearable for the common public. So it is the high time public should raise their voice against the BJP government, asserted Tuki.

He further stated that in the name of employment BJP is playing with the future of youths. Indian Army is the most prestigious service of the nation, but here too they are demeaning its motive as well as discouraging our soldiers by giving only four years of service that too without any other prescribed incentives.

Earlier, President Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) Tarh Johny slammed the BJP-led state government for using Security forces to halt the peaceful march for 'Raj Bhawan gherao'. When ruling BJP used to demonstrate in Raj Bhawan, No forces are directed to halt them, no one to question them' stated President.

He also slammed the BJP government for demeaning the National flag in the name of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign. Low-quality fabric and selling the National flag at Rs 25 per flag is an insult to the nation' he stated.
