ITANAGAR, June 26: Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) in alliance with Drug De Addiction Cell (DDAC) of the Directorate of Health and 1st AP BN NCC, Naharlagun, organized a seminar to mark International Day Against Drug Abuse (IDADA) and Illicit Trafficking at DN College, Itanagar on Tuesday. The programme organized with a theme “Let’s develop our lives, our communities, our identities without drug” was attended by more than 410 NCC cadets from the colleges and Hr. Secondary Schools from the state and Assam. Attending the programme, Deputy Director (IEC) APSACS TashorPali urged for educating the students on the routes of HIV/AIDS transmission and its prevention. He added that HIV/AIDS can easily be prevented if one knows its ABC where A stands for abstinence, B for ‘be faithful to your partner’ and C for condom usage.
