Solar water supply

ROING: Minister (RWD, IPR & P) Bamang Felix inspected the source and site for a solar based lift water supply system for Jia, Bolung and Bukkong areas today at Jia Village in Lower Dibang Valley district. The project, once completed, will supply water to 6,927 people living in 64 habitations of the area and will be implemented at an estimated cost of 2,850 lakh.

Bamang Felix, addressing the villagers of the area asked the villagers to preserve the water source of the project through timely clearing of debris and planting saplings beneficial for water retention in the catchment area. He said that the villagers should think of the project as their own and work toward its early completion. MLA Gum Tayeng and Commissioner (PWD) Bilatee Pertin also addressed the gathering.
