Somlung Mossang Focuses On Accelerating Pending Projects

BORDUMSA: Somlung Mossang, the newly-elected MLA of 49 Bordumsa-Diyun Assembly constituency in Changlang district of Eastern Arunachal, seems to be a man on a mission.

“I draw the attention of all the respective heads of the departments and executing agencies to immediately apprise me of all the developmental work, projects and schemes across the constituency lying pending till date with valid explanation for the delay”, said Mossang in his address during a meeting held at the Bordumsa Guest House.

Somlung Mossang was being accorded a red carpet welcome here this morning by the administration and party workers on his return from Itanagar after participating in the swearing-in ceremony of the State’s 7th Legislative Assembly.

Laying stress to prepare a road map on the developmental activities, Mossang who won on as an Independent, said that overall developmental and prosperity of the people was his vision and as such “Let the defaulters surrender without further delay so that I can start afresh to serve my constituency”.

“Roads, education, electricity, children’s health care and nutrition would be treated with priority and maintaining transparency in the governance is my vision”, said Mossang to The Sentinel at his Bordumsa residence.

When asked about his priority, Mossang said, “I started speaking on the floor of the House from the maiden day itself and I am confident that with leaders like Pema Khandu and Chowna Mein leading the government, I would be able to address the grievances of my people effectively and resolve the issues plaguing the place within a short span of time.”

“I have already started work. Immediate repairing of 3 roads each in Bordumsa and Diyun have been taken up.
