ITANAGAR: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju hit hard at the state Opposition party stating that the Congress party should stop playing blame game on the present State BJP government led by Pema Khandu on not executing development works in the state.

“The works which should been completed in their tenure has been put to the shoulder of our (BJP) party as a burden. They should be either be thankful that during the two years of governance we are witnessing drastic changes in state overall development,” Rijiju said while addressing the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers at its first-ever Yuva Sammelan -2018 here at Nyokum Lapang ground here on Monday. Where were the good roads and infrastructure development during the Congress term, it was our government that streamlined all the works, Rijiju said, adding that the Opposition party should stop blame game of their failure to bring development in various sector and road connectivity in specific.

After coming into the power it was my first priority to bring changes to the mistakes done by the previous government. It is known that the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) which was introduced in the year 2007 and sanctioned in 2008 is yet not completed.

“There are villages and districts where there is no electricity, no road connectivity, pathetic education infrastructure, and need for medical facility and many more which is reality and accordingly we have to work altogether taking it as a challenge, Rijiju added.”

He also said that despite many hurdles to bring various development schemes for the state the works are put on hold due to few vested groups, contractors and higher officials, which should not be in real terms. Arunachal Pradesh has been awarded the highest fund for the PMGSY scheme in last four years despite being less populated to the rest of the states, he informed.

In the meantime he requested contractors and other technocrats to stop misusing public money adding that he has just released Rs 400 crore for development works. Public money should be used for the public welfare and road connectivity should reach to the villages. Due to the differences between contractors, few corrupted officers the people should not suffer, he said.

Speaking on Sainik School in the State, Rijiju said that it was the dream which came true by the inauguration of states first Sainik School at Pasighat. “Our state which has been dreaming of a single Sainik School by many decades, which by the coming of BJP government has gifted three Sainik Schools for the State,” Rijiju added.

He also informed that under his Home Ministry there have been various projects implemented in the State. People are blaming on me that being Union Minister of State for Home Affairs I have done nothing for the state which is false in true sense.

“There are many projects which people did not demand to me but by own effort I have brought many projects for the welfare of the people, he said.” He said he will inform in details works executed under his ministry when suitable time comes.

Encouraging the BJYM he said that each party’s dignity and base is dependent on the party youths including male and female workers. He also requested the workers to reach to the ground level and disseminate the knowledge about its party and the schemes of state and central government to the villagers.

Meanwhile Member of Parliament-cum-BJYM National President Poonam Mahajan praising Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that, she has never met such CM so dedicated to his work and busy in every minutes of his time.

“When today you think about future its actually already past, you have to think about your future and that’s how we have to look about and look forward to,” she said while addressing the BJYM on the day.

She also said that it is the golden era for BJP as we have got many young and energetic ministers in every state as well as a visionary Prime Minister Narednra Modi. “We are very lucky to have PM like Narendra Modi and state Chief Minister Pema Khandu added with MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju who are always working and visiting every nook and corner of the country to for the people,” she added.

Gone are the days when people were feed few amount of money and the rest of it was consumed by the politicians. Under the BJP there is no chance of corruption in the country which the Opposition party should also know about, she said.
