Students' union seeks immediate posting of teachers in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: The All Kra Daadi District Students' Union (AKDDSU) on Monday submitted a representation to the State's secretary education urging for immediate transfer and posting of subject teachers at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Palin, Kra Daadi district.

AKDDSU vice-president Chacha Takam informed that total eight subject teachers (6 PGT and 2 TGT) have been transferred to other locations from GHSS Palin by the Directorate of Secondary Education as per order no. 03/PGT/2021 in the month of August 2021, but no reliever has joined till date.

The union has received many complaints from students regarding the absence of teachers, he added while speaking to media persons here. He said that the absence of teachers was concerning because it was hampering the education process of the students and academic system of the district.

"How can one expect bright future without education?" Takam said, adding, "We believe that the department concerned will look into the matter and within 10 to 15 days those teachers who have been posted to the GHSS Palin will join their duties without further delay."
