Swach Bharat Abhiyan by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) minority wing
ITANAGAR, July 17: BJP Minority Morcha, Lower Dibang valley district unit, conducted Swach Bharat Abhiyan at Banggo village here on Tuesday. The Abhiyaan was headed by the district president Subash Apum. Parliamentary secretary for WRD, Gum Tayeng, along with BJP State spoke person Roding Pertin, former minister Bandey Mili and villagers participated in the Swach Bharat Abhiyan at the village. The Abhiyaan was organized to create awareness among the villagers on health and hygiene. Speaking on the occasion Parliamentary secretary for WRD, Gum Tayeng highlighted the health problems caused due to unhealthy surroundings. He said that to live healthy and health safety of the children one should always clean the surroundings. He also requested the village head to organize such cleanliness drive every month. The state is changing in terms of cleanliness under the banner of Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, so we should make a mark to be cleanliness village in the state. He said this while citing the example of magical paradise- Mawlynnong village in Shillong which won the status of cleanest village in 2003 in India.
