Three held for arson of a vehicle and the slaughtering of a dog in front of MP Tapir Gao’s house

ITANAGAR: After three days of search operations carried out following inputs from various sources, the Capital Police on Sunday arrested three persons allegedly involved in the arson of a vehicle and the slaughtering of a dog in front of the residence of BJP MP Tapir Gao on Friday last. The main accused of the incident, Tongom Jomoh (42 years) from Seppa of East Kameng district was arrested from Kasikata Bagan village in Assam at around 5.50 am. Speaking to media person, SP Tumme Ammo said that along with the main accused the police have also arrested two other persons identified as Deo Tayem (24 years) and Gayam Pao from A-sector Naharlagun and Pappunallah respectively on Saturday morning. “According to the information provided during the interrogation of the duo and the police Intelligence, our team reached Kasikata Bagan and nabbed the main accused Tongam Jomoh on Friday morning,” the SP said, adding that a driver namely, Altab Hussain (30), was also arrested as a witness.
