Training for magistrates, flying squads in the Lower Subansiri DC office

Itanagar: The first phase of training for sector magistrates and flying squads was held in the Lower Subansiri DC office on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, District Election Officer (DEO) Chukhu Takar called for concerted efforts from all the stakeholders to ensure free and fair elections, an official release informed. “The sector magistrates will have to start sector mapping and familarize them with their sectors. They will play a major role in identifying sensitive areas and reporting the same to the DEO,” he said and exhorted all to be prompt in disposing their assigned duties.

C-Vigil nodal officer Michi Tabiyo presented a PowerPoint on various application launched by the ECI. He dwelt in length about cVIGIL and explained in detail about the complain registration process.

SP Dr Hemant Tiwari and ADC Gombu Tsering also addressed the gathering. They highlighted the security aspects and duties of sector magistrates elaborately, the release added.
