Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) case: AAPSU demands removal of DC

ITANAGAR: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has alleged the misappropriation of public money by Capital DC Prince Dhawan in respect of the Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) from Chandranagar to Papu Nallah. The allegation has been made in a press briefing at press club on Sunday.
The AAPSU has stated that the Union has collected all reliable information regarding the disbursement of the compensation money and found that DC Capital has misused the compensation money. In many cases several structures are still intact though the compensation money is paid and the DC has prepared several agricultures, horticulture and forestry items which do not exist practically.
The union has appealed the State government that the Capital DC should be immediately remove from the administration as DC Capital and independent and an inquiry committee should be set up to study the matter within a speculated time of 15 days. The Union also clarified that the allegation does not mean to stop the construction work of the highway and should continue smoothly. The Union will submit its complaint letter to the SP of SIC (Vigilance) on Monday.
The union further told that they will file a complaint against DC, Capital Complex for incomplete land acquire process and misuse of Government money during the disbursement of compensation and the assessment for 4-Lane construction from Chandranagar to Pappu Nallah, Tri-Junction NH415 to the Superintendent of Police, Special Investigating Cell (Vigilance) on Monday.
