Tributes paid to Late Hage Kano

Ziro: Rich tributes were paid to Late Hage Kano, former Secretary (1955-65) and GB/HGB (1966-2018) of Hari Village of Lower Subansiri district Ziro on his 1st death anniversary on Sunday.
As befitting tribures to the memory of Late Kano, a statue (bust) erected near his graveyard at Rantw was fomally unveiled by Hage Tagia (Apa) HGB and President of all Apatani GB Welfare Association in presence of huge gathering.
Speaking on the occasion the president Hage Tagia described Late Kano as a pioneering figure and great social reformer. He had immense contribution for the upliftment of Hari village in particulars and the community in general, he added.
Earlier Hage Kojeen, IAS (Retd), the State Election Commissioner, Arunachal Pradesh who is the eldest amongst the four sons of Late Kano recalled the various services rendered by his father in terms of road constructions, opening of School, town survey for District Headquarters as well as State Capital Itanagar and settlement of many local cases as village authority.
All GBs, HGBs, Ex-Panchayat leaders, village elders/senior citizens, Members of Hari Employees & Pensioners Welfare Association attended the unveiling ceremony of statue and paid floral tributes to former Secretary & HGB Late Hage Kano. MLA Ziro Er.Tage Taki also attended and paid floral tributes.
A community feast was organized on the occasion.
