Itanagar: Indian Army came to the rescue of two local women of Arunachal Pradesh who were trapped at the junction of Siyom and Pitgong rivers due to a sudden increase in the water level of both the rivers.

Indian army rescued the two women from drowning in Siyom River near Kaying village in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday.

Eastern Command of Indian Army shared about the incident and the dramatic rescue through their tweet:

"Indian Army Rescue Team bravely rescued two stranded local women from drowning in Siyom River near Kaying Village, West Siyang District of Arunachal Pradesh on November 04, 2020."

According to sources, two local women were on the verge of getting swept away. The villagers from Kaying village reached out to the Indian army for help. A rescue team was assembled promptly from a nearby camp. They reached the site and launched the rescue operation.
