Unidentified miscreants attack senior BJP leader in State

Itanagar: Unidentified miscreants reportedly assaulted a senior BJP leader from West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday evening, police said on Tuesday. The party's mandal president of Liromoba constituency Bajom Bogo, was reportedly assaulted by a large group of unidentified men at a hotel in Aalo, the district headquarters on Monday, SP Mari Riba said. Riba added that the incident was reported at around 6 pm on Monday when a group of around 40 unidentified youths attacked Bogo in his hotel room. The youths allegedly also took away some valuables and clothing items, as well. An FIR was lodged and a case has been registered at Aalo police station. "It is an offence and has to be dealt with strictly," the SP said, adding investigation is on to arrest the miscreants. According to reports, Bogo has been referred to a hospital in Assam.
