Union Seeks Establishment of C Class Police Stations

Itanagar: The All Kamle District Students’ Union in a representation to the under-secretary (Home) has requested him to take urgent steps for establishing a C class police station in Boasimla.

“Boasimla is situated about 30 kms from the nearest police station at Raga, which covers 73 towns and villages, consisting of a total population of over 6,000 and it is difficult for the police to maintain law and order in such a large area,” the union said. It also sought upgrading of the police outpost in Dollungmukh to a C class police station, saying that the existing police outpost ‘is not adequate to render services and address law and order problems that often occur in the area’.
