KOLORIANG: The 21- Koloriang Employees Forum (KEF) on Thursday organized a walkathon with the theme "Resist Drug with the light of Humanity", and day-long deliberation on social issues of Koloriang constituency as a part of its 1st foundation day here.

To Mark the day, a free medical camp and free distribution event of types of equipment to differently-abled persons was also held on the same occasion.

Earlier, Chairperson-KEF Yumlam Kaha hoisted the organization flag amidst the huge gathering from at least five circles of the 21-Koloriang constituency.

Speaking to the media, Chairperson informed that KEF though its members are government officials it is a totally non-government organization formed by a group of people with the objective of "giving back to society" with their own contribution. Koloriang is one of the most backward district headquarters of the state, so we like-minded people have decided to contribute to society by giving our best effort to bring social changes to society. So, today we have organized a medical camp, free distribution of various types of equipment to differently-abled persons, and also organized day-long deliberation on social issues, stated Kaha.

Meanwhile, Advisor-KEF spoke on dependency culture, Skill Development, conservation of the environment, and tourism potential.

The Secretary-Women & Child Affairs-KEF Cecilia Bengia elaborated on Child and family affairs, Secretary Health -KEF, Dr Bengia Tani briefed on Health and Drug abuse, Secretary HR&IT-Bengia Tadap on the Education scenario of Koloriang, Vice-Chairperson -KEF Bulang Marik spoke on sports as a career for youth and many other dignitaries and experts highlighted various issues of the 21-Koloriang constituency.
