Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that they don't promise just one thing and stretch it for decades.

Addressing a rally at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh today, Modi said himself as the servant of the people adding, "This servant of yours is always in your service. I am trying to improve things here and we don't promise only one thing and stretch it for decades."

Modi said that they work sincerely to make the lives of the people easy. "We have provided free LPG connections and also worked for the farmers without making false promises," Modi said.

The Prime Minister further assured that they aim to make North East and Arunachal the Gateway for East Asia adding that he and his colleagues are there in Pasighat for that purpose today. He said that this election is between promises and intentions.

Modi further said that one family ruled India for 55 years but cannot claim they have done all that needs to be done and that he cannot claim the same as he is there for only five years but he is ready to take up all challenges and is always ready to fulfil all the challenges.

The Prime Minister also stated that all villages in the state of Arunachal Pradesh have power after 70 years of Independence. He also said that his rally venue has become a grand stadium in a few years since he last visited the place.

Slamming the Congress, Modi said that the Congress did not give northeast any place here or in New Delhi and it was Atal Bihari Vajpayee who built a separate ministry for the Northeast. Modi further said that Congress only works for vote-bank even if the country is suffering.

Criticizing the manifesto of the Congress, Modi said that it is corrupt and full of lies and therefore it should be called a hypocrisy document and not a manifesto.

Modi also reiterated that the BJP government has developed Pasighat into a smart city and that Arunachal has got many health and educational institutions.

Later on the day, Modi will also visit West Bengal and Maharashtra to participate in election rallies.
