West Siang DM Swetika Sachan Prohibits Donations in Offices, Markets

Itanagar: West Siang district magistrate (DM) Swetika Sachan has prohibited a few individuals and NGO from collecting donations from the employees, head of offices and shopkeepers of Aalo Township without permission from the authorities, stating such forceful collection of donation in the name of association and organization as illegal.

The funds placed by the government in any departments for undertaking welfare schemes for the general public can no way be diverted, the DM said in a prohibitory order on Friday, an official communique informed here.

Violation of the Prohibitory order conferred U/S 133 CrPc will attract action under relevant law, the order stated.
