ITANAGAR: The six-day Yomgo River Festival at Kamba in the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh concluded on Sunday amidst fanfare.
The adventure festival started on April 10.
The concluding day of the festival was marked with live music performances by various artistes, including Bipul Chetry and the Travelling Band, Jeli Tamin Kaye, Trance Effect from Nagaland, and Yami Puri, among others.
Tirap Deputy Commissioner Hento Karga graced the concluding function in the presence of Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak and West Siang DC Penga Tato, among others. The Yomgo River Festival was conducted with the mission to promote adventure sports.
Sporting events like whitewater rafting, angling, paragliding, hipe-dinam (local rafting), and dance battles. Another inclusion in the festival was an adventure park for children, which includes rope climbing, bridges, spider nets, zip lines, a Tarzan rope swing, etc., an official report informed.
