10-day NCC camp concludes

Dibrugarh, May 17: The 10-day NCC camp organized by 10 Assam Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC group of Dibrugarh, concluded successfully recently at JNV Doomardallong, with the closing address delivered by the Camp Commandant, Colonel Jaydeep Goswami. More than 500 NCC cadets of senior division and junior division took active part in various activities organized during the camp. Group Commander, NCC Dibrugarh, Brigadier SK Lama visited the camp and oversaw the training being imparted to the cadets. During the camp, the cadets carried out extensive training on various military subjects, including drill, map reading and field craft. The camp also saw active participation of the cadets in the selection trials for pre-Thal Sainik camp and the pre-Republic Day camps. The cadets, during the camp, took part in social service activities like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and plantation of saplings. They also visited the school for the blind at Moran and distributed sweets among the visually impaired students
