Achievements of district administration highlighted

TEZPUR: On the occasion of completion of 100 days of the Assam government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, a public meeting and a press meet was organized on Saturday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bhupesh Chandra Das at the new Conference Hall of DC office here. MLAs Borsola, Ganesh Limboo, MLA Tezpur Prithiraj Rabha were also present in today's meeting which was attended by prominent citizens of the district along with local mediapersons.

On the occasion, District Development Commissioner Sobhan Gowala gave a detailed overview of the major administrative reforms initiated by the present government along with other achievements and major welfare initiatives taken by the government for information of all those who were present in today's meeting. Moreover, he also highlighted few of the achievements of the district administration in the last 100 days.

Deputy Commissioner Das spoke about the achievements of the district administration in improving the health infrastructure in the district and the successful vaccination drive in the district.

In his speech, MLA Tezpur Prithiraj Rabha thanked the government for taking a holistic approach for development of the state and highlighted few important Bills passed by the government during the recent Assembly session.

MLA Borsola Ganesh Limboo appealled to all the officials to participate in the development story initiated by the Government and play an active role in the state's growth story.

An interactive session was also held at the end where several eminent citizens highlighted some of the issues plaguing Sonitpur district and appealled to the Government and local administration to address these issues. The meeting ended with singing of the National Anthem.
