Guwahati: Assam education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma Saturday announced that in the second phase of the teachers' recruitment process, a total of 10,789 new teachers will be recruited under primary and secondary education.

As per the new advertisement, 1,102 Hindi Teachers and 3,941 Assistant Teachers will be recruited, announced Sarma, adding that the education department has advertised 5,746 posts for Secondary Education and High School.

Sarma further announced that a total of 10,789 teachers' posts have been announced through advertisements by the government, which will be filled by December.

The third phase of recruitment advertisement for teachers post will be published by the end of September, Sarma added.

In another announcement, the minister who also holds the health portfolio said that 20 more hospitals will be added to the list of hospitals where once can avail hemodialysis.

A total of 55,168 patients have availed free hemodialysis service so far, the minister further said.
