103 COVID-19 cases detected in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: One more person died due to COVID-19 and 103 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Sonitpur district on Friday.

Out of the 103 fresh cases, 91 cases were detected from RAT and 12 from RT-PCR. The death toll in the district during the second wave of the pandemic now stands at 211. Altogether 7,444 tests were done across the district on Friday, out of which 6,950 were RAT and rest RT-PCR.

Official sources said that COVID positive Bhakta Bahadur Chetri (65), resident of Namanigaon Rangapara in Sonitpur died at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital.
